Happy 80th Birthday to Gloria Alday!

Dear Friends, This week, longtime Republican activist and community leader Gloria Alday is celebrating her 80th birthday. A former Houston County Chairman, 1st District Chairman, 8th District Chairman, and 2nd Vice Chairman, Gloria is undoubtedly one of the Georgia Republican Party’s most accomplished and active members. She chaired the Bush 2000 and McCain-Palin campaigns in Houston County, served as a delegate to the 2000 Republican National Convention, and still – after 18 years – sits on the State Committee. Gloria’s service extends beyond the Republican Party. She is a former Commissioner in Houston County, serves on numerous local committees, and assists countless organizations with fundraising and awareness. Despite her many accomplishments and accolades, Gloria continues to find new ways to move our Party, state, and country forward. Like C.S. Lewis famously penned, “You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream.” Gloria is an inspiration to us all and I hope you will join me in thanking her for her service and wishing her a very, Happy Birthday! Sincerely, John John Padgett Chairman Georgia Republican Party
